How is Carob Powder made?
Carobs are grown on a tree and look like a big brown snow pea pod. The carobs are then separated from the pod, roasted and finely milled. Australian quality is far superior to important carob and is much sweeter as well.

Ways to use it
Carob Powder is a perfect substitute for cocoa of cacao in recipes. You can add carob in a 1:1 ratio in any recipe that calls for cacao, keep in mind that it is naturally sweet so you should be able to reduce the sugar. make hot carob drinks, add to baking or icing, carob is a perfect addition to pancakes, muffins or smoothies.
