Natracare Organic Cotton Tampons Regular
Our regular organic tampons are made with a rolled wadding of long-fibre organic cotton – designed to gently absorb menstrual flow and expand widthways.
We only make organic tampons because most are made from a mix of rayon and non-organic cotton, and are commonly chlorine-bleached. Tampons often have a plastic wrapper, contain perfumes and even dyes. Rayon is a highly absorbent fibre which rapidly absorbs menstrual blood but at the same time can also dry out the natural protective mucous lining of the vagina.
Why choose organic cotton tampons?
Rayon is a highly absorbent fibre which rapidly absorbs menstrual blood but at the same time can also dry out the natural protective mucous lining of the vagina.
Why Natracare Non Applicator Organic Cotton Tampons?
- Only 100% organic cotton, and nothing else
- Totally chlorine free
- No rayon, plastics or dyes
- Biodegradable and compostable
- Expands widthways
As the cotton gently absorbs the menstrual flow, the tampon expands widthways.
Directions for use
Unlike the applicator style, this tampon is inserted using your longest finger which tucks into the flared end of the tampon to enable the tampon to be pushed into place. Deciding between an applicator and non applicator tampon is generally a matter of personal preference.
Certified organic cotton
Recycled cardboard printed with vegetable-based ink. Organic non-applicator tampons are available in packs of 10 or 20. Wrapper: BPA-free widely recycled plastic. Absorbency: 6-9g
No Fiber Loss
NatraCare has made a very convincing demonstration of the fibre loss that occurs with conventional tampons. Therefore, fibre loss is an issue not just because you end up with a lot of cotton and rayon shreds hanging out in your vagina, but they can provide a breeding ground for bacteria. In addition, to cut down on the amount of fibre loss, conventional tampon makers put a synthetic overlay made from crude oil on each tampon to keep the absorbent inner core from falling loose from the tampon.
Use the chart listed on package to select the minimum absorbency to control your menstrual flow and reduce the risk of getting TSS. Therefore, absorbency ranges and terms are standard for all tampons industry wide.
